In 05 to 06 i had a savinfgs account where my money was depodited. Have not been in Thailand since but my money over 43k is still there NOT making any interest. I understand that foreigners are NOT allowed interest on their Thai bank account? Or so i am told by the KTB where the money is held.
Also i cannot transfer money from KTB to HSBC in UK using online banking as there appears to be no Mechanism to allow this on the KTB site. Easy with HSBC. THE KTB people i emailed gave me a swift code but don't know what to do with it.
So my questions are:
1/ who is good to bank with and what type of account is best in Thailand.
2/ Has anyone had similar problems and can anyone recommend or advise -- me on how to transfer from KTB to HSBC without Physically being in --Thailand?? |
