While searching around for TEFL programs, I came across TEF1 in Cambodia. It is accredited by Chichester College in England. The program is part time, all day Saturday for a month. It cost about 500us

Does anyone know if it is legit? worth it?

Thank you

Hmm, I certainly wasn't aware that Chichester College was in the business of ratifying teaching qualifications. Their offshoot Anglia Examinations run an examinations board for general and business English exams, so I'd advise you double check the authenticity of the teaching qualification with them. Try www.chichester.ac.uk or www.anglia-examinations.co.uk.

It's APIS in Phnom. Frankly, I don't recommend it. You would be beter off doing a solid four week CELTA somewhere such as Bangkok, Cairo, Singapore etc. Four days for 500 usd is not good value, since the CELTA is twenty days for about 1500usd, i think.

It depends on who is running it now, but if it is my former colleagues at APIS then you can forget it. There arent many well qualified teacher trainers in Cambodia, and (except possibly for Mr Bruce) I doubt they work at this place.

You could get a job at APIS without quals. I know, i did!

Shocked
