Hey Guys,

What is the deal with Tefl International TESOL Cert in Saigon. I know it is like the easiest thing in the world to get into, at least when I applied a few months ago to one of their programs in China all I filled out was my name, degrees, and date of birth, and they sent me and e-mail: Congrats your in! Now send the check. My question is whether or not it is a decent back up plan if I do not get into the CELTA program at ILA? Just a little nervous, although I do not foresee any problems. Any insight would be useful. But have no fears, if I get into the CELTA at ILA, I am in all the way!

Thanks,

BB

I did the TESOL here in Vietnam in 2008, not a great deal to say about the course other than it was intensive and hard work but they will pass anyone - Including the Vietnamese guy with limited English on my course. I took a lot in from the course though and it was very useful to get me started and I have a very good job now, 9-4 good salary and have been here 2 years.

.....they didn't follow through on promises of additional free online courses which although probably worth nothing on paper would have given me some free information.

Andy the course leader was great, very helpful as well but they had a Vietnamese course leader who I couldnt understand!

Other than that, the qualification is recognised and accepted here but I think the CELTA is your best bet. Plan B - TESOL....
