I am considering loading up a caxton fx or fair fx international card to use in japan. Has anyone else used these cards, what do you think of them? |

I don't have a clue what those things are.
Just be aware that (according to my bank here) as of this year, the law has changed so that if anyone (Japanese or foreigner) receives money from overseas in a wire transfer, they will be required to show ID. This works only for the first time incident. You may actually have to go down to the bank to do this. I did. |

I've just sent off the forms for my Shinsei Bank account. I'm expecting to be able to transfer money into it online from my English account. Is that right? |

I don't know how every bank will choose to do this. Mine (Hokuyo) required that I show up in person. |
