I have a Japanese friend who recently asked me about a good English school in Tokyo. She is an adult and I'd say she has beginner to intermediate level English. I think an eikaiwa setting is what she's looking for. I hesitate to recommend any of the big chain schools because, although there are obvious exceptions, they can be a crap shoot as far as quality teachers and lessons are concerned. (And business practices...)
What do you think? Are there any schools besides the British Council that I could recommend? Any suggestions are much appreciated. |
