Does anyone have any experiences to report on working for Pearson Longman in Shanghai? I heard they just bought out another chain back in late 2008 or early 2009 and wanted more information on the current situation. Any details would be appreciated.
Of most concern is if the salary they have offered me (10500RMB) is enough to live on in Shanghai. It does not include rent or any utilities or anything else. I also have 2000RMB in US debts that I will have to pay each month as well. Will 8500RMB be enough to live on there?? I factored in about 5000RMB for a nice, CLEAN apartment.
My initial research says no and that I will barely break even each month, but I wanted advice from the vets out there.
Many thanks. |
