Hi

Can somebody please help me with the following:

When does the semesters in Thailand start and finish?

And is it easy getting a visa in South Africa to go teach in Thailand, and how long can it take getting a visa?

Please, help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

School year starts in May with a mid year break in October.
School year ends in March.

Typically, real schools start recruiting in Feb/March for May 1 starts.
Language institutes hire year round.

Getting your non-immi "B" visa can take from 4 days to many weeks depending on your qualifications and whether or not you have your documents in order.

IF you have a bachelors degree, clean criminal background check and a job offer it should only take a couple days after you get the documentation from your school/employer for the visa application.

Local Thai consulates have different paperwork requirements (dependent on the country they serve). Check the local embassy/consulate where you are for their specific requirements to apply for the non immigrant "B" visa.
