A while back someone was wondering if pay would be higher in dangerous cities, and I just wanted to comment that I saw a job advertised today in Culiacan, Sonora with a very, very attractive package, granted it is just one job, but anecdotal evidence would suggest that that might be the case. *I* wouldn't go live there for double what they were offering myself. |

No, that's the wrong conclusion to jump to. Culiacan is our State capital (it's in Sinaloa, not Sonora), and the pay is better for everyone in Culiacan. Housing and cost of living in general is higher, and there is just more money and opportunity there. We have relatives who live and work there, so I'm not just speculating. |

OK, didn't realize that, but it was basically double what you'd make in DF, which most people consider to be one of the more expensive places to live. It just jumped out at me, in a list of decent paying jobs, one that was double, or more than double what most of the others paid. Sorry about goofing the state, I do know that it is in Sinaloa, my mind must have wandered. |
