So I am changing jobs and moving to Beijing in a few weeks. This whole process has generally been in a nightmare.
Just when I thought I was finally home free I got a list of documents required to transfer my visa from my current uni job to my new job. One of them is a digital copy of my diploma.
When I came here I definitely didn't have one, what I DO have, both in digital and hard copy is a "certificate of degree conferred" which is a certificate stating my name, degree conferred, date, and signed by a dean on official letterhead and with a stamp. But apparently this will not work.
I've heard that the government is becoming a lot more uptight about the rules and regulations regarding visas lately but this is the first I have heard about this.
Does anybody know anymore about this? |

Well, apparently they DO need an actual scan of the diploma. GODDAMMIT.
What a total crock of shit, I can't believe this. Seems like no matter what I do here I end up on the losing end. Such ridiculous crap. I am unbelievably pissed. |
