Hi Friends,
I would like to know about the housing provided by Royal Commission for their college teaching staff. It is in a compound or is it in JUC campus.
How far is the JUC from city and other amenities such as malls, shopping, restaurants and city. Just wondering if it would be better to stay in provided accommodation or to get an allowance in lieu of accommodation.
I am a married westerner and planning to relocate to Jubail with my family. I would appreciate, if someone could please provide me with some information. |

canuck_eh - The housing would most probably be in campus side, pretty sure that Royal commission will live up to its name. |

Singles stay on campus at JIC but but can live off campus in studios next to the sea near the JUC . Families are allocated flats in the community when available but can choose a housing allowance and go private. |

What are the accommodations like? what are the opportunities like for social interaction for families, ladies-ladies, and among kids? I am sure men have their sports fields to go to. Could you please share of it too. |

Housing is generally excellent but hard to obtain. In the past small families got princely homes. Today, high demand has created a housing shortage and any accommodation is gold.
Single teachers live in new, well equipped campus studios. When available, families get brand new or older flats or else they can choose to go private.
Industrial Jubail is arguably the best environment in Saudi Arabia for families with a great standard of living and comparatively good education. Socially there is plenty to do and with two major cities close you can have a busy social life. |

I never usually notice pollution here and have never known anyone to be adversely affected by the supposed pollution from industrial Jubail.
I am curious if anyone has information about international indexes for Jubail such as
Air Quality Index (AQI)
Air Pollution Index (API)
Pollutant Standard Index (PSI)
Frankly, most of the previous comments I read on the the issue are sensationalist and largely inaccurate. |

Hey canuck, just wondering if you ended working in Jubail. Are they still hiring and if so, can you send me their contact information. Hows working there like? Any information would be great. Thanks! |
