I have to stay clear of for expert gigs for awhile, and wonder how you know the difference when you're looking for work? Thank you.

Why? The reason or the jubs you need to stay clear of could help us know if there are any jobs that you can get.

As far as I know, a foreigner has to be an "expert" to teach in China (legally); the reason that's in quotes is because that's what the teaching permit is called: "foreign expert certificate" (FEC).

The OP has been blacklisted by SAFEA that is why she is looking for a job that is not legit.

How does one know if he has been blacklisted? Does the OP know this for sure? If so, how does he know this?

Oh, Da cabbie, have you never had anyone malign or hurt you when you didn't have it coming? Old or young, it does happen from time to time...Come off it. do you mean to sound smug? do you know what the word "hubris" means?

What confused me a few years ago was looking in my passport and seeing an "F" visa when I was teaching at a govt uni, and noticing they'd never mentioned the for expert card. Had the same thing happen a bit further north. I hadn't sought this out; just boom..

I wondered if there was a way to run into an F visa job again. The unis seemed to tnink it was perfectly legit; and yes, we all paid taxes and about 11 of us had F visas, no 20.

Yes, I did mean to sound smug.

For the past three months you have been on this board complaining about how everyone is out to get you. But, you are still working at the same school. People told you to walk away when the problems started and you didn't.

Are they out to get you? Yes, maybe they are and maybe they have good reasons. You have skipped out on other contracts here in China. If you don't like it here in China, leave. Quickly and quietly please.

The post you have made here have been cryptic and indecipherable. Now, in another thread you are ranting about how this is all happening because of your religion. Meanwhile you are trying to bate a ethnic minority student into your web of disillusion. Luckily she is smart enough to realize that you are going to bring trouble her way if she aligns herself with you.

I understand that you are an older teacher who has been doing this for a while, so you should understand by now this industry is far from perfect as are many of the people who are in it. I for one am glad that they Chinese government has taken more interest in the actions of FT's and started a Blacklist.

It is time to reconnect with reality, you are on tilt.

You two, please back off.

Just because De Cabby, you don't like my style, doesn't mean you have to bait me and be abusive.

Now you get straight. Bait a minority student? That's wrong. Trying to align her to my side? I don't do that kind of stuff. I leave people alone. What would I do with an adolescent? That's your trip.

I wasn't baiting her: I was talking to her, like we all do with our students. I was just talking about normal things. I was surprised that she was so paranoid about simple things like Tibetan food. Made me wonder if that was a widespread thing in China and why. And maybe China's govt. was hostile to my beliefs, too. That's it. You don't need to read more into it than that. God, you're sick. Napalm-Man.

I haven't done "several runners" and it's not your business in life to boss people around. !

Now the one sensible, non-hostile, non-paranoid nutcase thing you said: I should've left. I'd have left if I had the money, but I didn't. I knew the FAO would shaft me, but since I'd worked for a company that went bankrupt, I'm just about starting over.

Try to leave me alone from now on, OK?
