Hi all,

I've done a fair bit of reading on this forum and it's great to see so many helpful posters here! I've already gotten some good advice and information but I thought I'd ask some questions particularly relevant to my own situation.

My qualifications: BA in Philosophy, TEFL with 7 years post accreditation teaching, recently got the CELTA, 9 years teaching experience in total - including management, training and some curriculum development.

My questions are, do I have a shot at getting a job in Oman? And what institutions should I be aiming for?

Thanks very much for your time!

(My wife is Canadian with similar teaching experience but no CELTA yet)

Are you saying that both you (and your wife) have an official teaching certificate/license from your home countries?

What level is your experience? And what level are you interested in teaching?

Hi VS - thanks for replying so quickly!

Neither of us have an official teaching certificate/license from our home countries.

We have both been teaching for 9 years in Asia; mostly young learners but their ages ranged from 4 - 14. We're interested in teaching any age group (including adults).

I'm aware that we're not going to be too marketable qualifications wise, but I'm hoping my experience (including the stuff beyond teaching) will make up for that somewhat.

Thanks again for your time!
