Greetings!
I understand many schools will provide full medical coverage. However if a school, for instance pays 80%, what can you expect to pay 'out of pocket' to cover the difference?
Thanks |

Certainly can't speak for all schools, but I'd guess many schools have an on-site "clinic" where you can get all the FREE medical attention you need -- possibly even FREE (Chinese) meds. Some schools quite possibly give you off campus hospital visit coverage. My school reimburses a whopping 500 rmb a semester. However, this year, our principal purchased an insurance policy which covers all FTs who may have to go into the hospital for long-term care (such as a surgery and after-surgery stay), so that's cool. |

PICC have a 12m cover for everything except pre existing conditions for about RMB1600.
That's a lot cheaper in my exp than buying home country travel insurance for the same period.
Also you're paying for it in RMB. |
