|
Hello,
I will be heading to Hanoi in July or August from Vancouver. All of the prices I have come across are frightful. Can anyone please recommend an airline and/or flight path that would be economical? For me, stopovers are a bonus rather than an annoyance, so I am definitely open to suggestions! I am also trying to find a one way ticket if possible. Thanks very much. |

never flown from canada, but coming from europe i found that the best thing was to fly to bangkok, then get a low-budget "airasia" flight to HCMC. That way you get a stop in bangkok (you can get your vietnam visa there too), even stay a couple of weeks in thailand if you want. You'll probably also get a stopover between canada and bangkok |

A friend of mine just made that trip in the opposite direction (HCMC though) and the cheapest one-way ticket she could find was with Korean Air using their on-line service.
Personally, after listening to a few horror stories, I only fly Cathay Pacific for that run, it's often the cheapest and I've never been unhappy with the service. Plus they've converted all their planes so that when the person in front of you reclines, the back of the seat doesn't move. |
