Does anybody have any experience with, or know of any place to have a test supervised in Japan.
Specifically, I would like to take some courses from a university in the USA via internet. I would prefer not to have to fly back home to take the final exam. The university allows for proctored exams, but as of yet I have had no success in finding a place to do it. The American consulate in my area doesn't provide the service, and didn't know of anyone who did.
If anyone can be of any help, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

Why not ask your university if they can name any approved sites? Failing that, ask them if any Japanese university with appropriate facilities and a willing volunteer to proctor you would do. If they agree to that, you should be able to find a willing university if you have any friends at all.
Of course, I have no friends at all, so I would still be stuck in that situation. |

What a bummer that the consulate can't help you.
Where are you?
If you are anywhere near a US military base they might be able to help you because they often have a university campus (of sorts), if not try contacting the international department of Japanese universities near you. If there is someone there who speaks English or is used to dealing with non-Japanese people they might help. |

I'd start asking around at the universities in your area. I can't see why they wouldn't help you out.
If you're near Takamatsu, I'll help. |
