So at the end of this term before the summer vacation starts, our school is having an open campus day with prospective students and parents of said student attending the school and we have to give a demo lesson for these students. They'll be going into first year and this whole thing is kind of stressing me out because I'm not sure how to teach students who have yet to enter junior high school. The emphasis of course is on fun and for the students to speak a little English. I was hoping people on here could help me out with some suggestions for good activities to do with a class of elementary school students (I don't know about numbers but I figure there will be at least 20 in the class) and also any tips in general that you might have for classroom management, etc. I do have experience teaching 1st years (this is my first year teaching at that level) but that difference of 6 months seems like a huge difference!
Oh and it will be a standard class-so 45 minutes long. |
