My husband and I were both offered jobs at a university in Saudi and have both signed contracts. However, they sent me a visa authorization form and listed my husband as my dependent. They have told us that both of us would still be able to work at the school though.

But we're a little worried what will happen if he has a resident visa and not a regular work visa. Will he be able to get an iquama (not sure if I spelled that right), and what are some other problems of having a resident visa instead of a work visa.

any helpful advice would really be appreciated.

Perhaps a moderator could move this to the Saudi Arabia branch.

It seems odd that he is being listed as the dependent... normally they do it the opposite way.
