|
|
I talked with my visa agent last night. I've used her services for years, and she says (for those teaching in Northern Vietnam) that the overland visa run to Laos for the 30 day visa now requires to wait 1 month before re-entering overland.
Therefore, the visa runs for those in the North are now confined to the fly-out and fly-back in from Vientiene or Bankok for the 3-month visa. |

Another random change, or is this the promised July crackdown?
So, do you know how this works? If you come in at the border and you were just in Vietnam, they won't give you a visa at the border? Or is it because you left by land?
Last month, I hear they were merrily handing out 3 month business visas to any and all, no problem. This is the first news I've heard this month about visas. If anyone has any up to date info, please chime in! |

From everything that I have been hearing - they STOPPED issuing the three month visas going overland since October 2009 and reduced THAT to 30 days only. Since October, it's been 3 month visas require landing Internationally at Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang or Ha Noi airports......
Kind of irritating. |

The first post is correct. At least that is what I'm hearing.
This is only about the 30 day bus in & bus out visa.
You have to wait one month to come back. This really means, "we don't do this type of visa run anymore." |
