All,
Where can I get a "good" (acceptable) money order here in HCMC to pay for my stamps at the US Dept of State (in D.C.) and the Vietnamese Embassy?
I use VietcomBank (I have to for work purposes). Can I draw the MO from there and pay w/ VND for a MO in USD?
Need to do this PRONTO.
Edit: I'll do this through HSBC, which is globally recognized.

I don't know about the Money Order thing but you should be able to arrange for a Direct Pay through Western Union which I think is one of the services of Vietcom bank. VN sometimes get caught up in minor details, have you asked about a cashier's check or traveler's checks? These can technically be used in lieu of a MO.
Oh yeah, BTW did you know that the US VN Embassy/Consulate also offers translation services?

Yea, I really want to send a straight-forward money order. I have people who may do it in the US for me but I was hoping to buy the money orders here and get it all done in one swoop.

| Okay -- I've talked to people and realized that a good solution is to just go to HSBC -- a known Int'l bank. |
