You do know you're posting on the board, not sending PMs?
Just thought I'd ask. |

Dear elegant,
You'll need one more post (5 total) before you can sent/receive PMs.
When you have that, if you clock on the user-name of the person you want to PM, you'll get that' person's profile page which has a PM button on it. Click on that and you'll go to the site where you can PM.
Regards,
John |

Dear elegant,
You already have 6 posts now, so you can PM whomever you want, provided that person also has at least five posts.
To PM, please follow my instructions above.
To use a "smiley" just move your cursor over to the "smiley menu" on your left and click on the "smiley you want:
Hope this helps,
Regards,

Elegant... I am very confused at your last three threads. Are you asking us a question? Are you trying to ask your employer in Ha'il a question? What is your goal here? Are you a teacher?
Be sure to use the "post reply" button.
Do not use the "new topic" button.

Dear Trap,
Naughy, naughty - have you never PMed? Have you never gotten PMs?
Dear elegant.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. PMs are "private messages," which you can send to/receive from other posters once you have five posts on the forums.
Regards,
John |

Hello? Is this thing on? After a week of reading countless threads (?) posts(?) in this ME forum....oh my, this thread (?) this thread (?) is hilarious. I learned enough from reading it how to maybe post a reply.
Thanks.
Where I am at today:
I accepted an offer with hail before coming to this forum. I now realize, hey, it's no big deal that I never heard from them again....
I have a skype interview with sabis ppp for a position that I don't think I'm qualified for...
I have a skype interview with bell ksu that ...
What do you think? Am I batting a thousand?
And I'm wondering what could be worse than maggots mysteriously appearing every morning in my bathtub and being assaulted twice in public by a woman strange to me (punched in the face) and having a screaming match with a Taiwanese supervisor in the teacher's room then having same cry when I left the job a couple years later (read kookoo), and having 18 different roommates in 2 years ad nauseam. True, I may have low self esteem with a dash of masochism, but I'm not desperate (yet)! It's a condition. |

Have you read all the threads on Sabis? I do believe that there has never been a positive word about their PPP contract.
I believe that their main qualification requirement is breathing. And the only positive thing that can be said about Sabis is that they usually pay on time... much less than everyone else, but on time.

You are famous. I bow to you. My interview is on Sunday. I have searched for information on sabis. What I got was "a mind numbing teaching "system," chaos, anglocentric, no respect for foreigners"...have I missed something? Though the pay is low it could be better than any salary I've ever made in 10 years efl teaching. I'll do the interview for practice and hear them out. I really don't think I'm qualified anyway...
It would be hard to resist an offer of kindergarten work. I enjoy the little ones. Watch this space. |

Or is that infamous?
Most of the Sabis threads relate to their own K-12 school system that is all around the Middle East. This is really UAE info - not Saudi - but PPP is part of the new contracts to re-vamp the public schools of Abu Dhabi Emirate. Thus far if has very much had its up and downs... two steps forward, one back. Sabis got a contract to handle some of this in Al-Ain. (or it was) But I'm just riffing on stuff posted here.
If you are a qualified kindergarten or primary grades teacher with your national certificate/license to teach... apply to TeachAway. Same contract, better bosses... slightly more organized.
But if you are not certified, talk to Sabis... see what they offer... if you have a high tolerance for bad employers as long as the pay arrives... Al-Ain isn't a bad place to live.
