Ladies and gentlemen....Spring has sprung, and the silly season is upon us,hence all the posts about "SEX"...but if you joined a bunch of strangers in a bar or a restaurant, or wherever, and didn't like the conversation, what would you do???
a)walk away.
b)try to change the conversation...remember they started it.
c)become highly indignant, and demand they stop.
d)become frustrated and bitter because they turn on you.
These, and probably other, options are all open to you. I suggest the first.

I may try to change the topic ever so subtley...if that failed, I may just start making random stupid comments to their topic in the hopes that they would drop it or change it.

If all else fails, walking away works.

Well, if they were a group of women with large jugs, I would just stay and say nothing while staring at their chests Wink . Otherwise, I would try to steer the discussion into another direction.

1. Go to the bar and grab a pint. I'd have a few sips, biding my time, and return shortly afterward, with the full expectation that the topic would (hopefully) have changed in a natural progression. If not, repeat step one. Eventually, the conversation might become interesting. Smile

I would pull out a notebook and work on my lesson plans.

Don't believe me? OK I would start ordering shots of whisky and drop them into my beer. Bombs I think they call them.

Dear lagerlout,
I used to call them "depth charges" - at least until they sank my U-boat.
Regards,
John
