I'll be heading into a city with a greater ranger of book shops and I'd like some ideas from those more experienced in ESOL literature than me.
This is what I'm looking to expand on in my lessons, if anyone can offer up some book ideas I'd be very grateful.
-More varied controlled speaking practices. These can be from more interesting pronunciation drills to games or pairwork.
I find that the current coursebooks being used by the school are a little lacking in this respect. In addition to this, my students often have problems where they will reproduce correct pronunciation during drills and then see the written word and have L1 problems.
-Freer Speaking Practice - Games. I'm looking for activities that focus on sts not using L1 and needing to use accurate target language, that are also fun fun fun for a mostly university student age group.
I work in Vietnam by the way, if that is of any significance.
Many thanks! |
