Does anyone out there have any info. on Web Int'l schools, either in Shanghai or Hangzhou? They must have set a world record for speediness in a reply to a posted job advertisement. They aren't quite as speedy when it comes to providing ANY info. about their school, including important stuff, like pay hours, and who the heck they are.

A friend worked for their Shanghai branch.He was getting about 7-8 K after a hefty tax slug, along with a 3 k housing allowance, which paid for a reasonable flat nearby. His hours would have killed me: only 20 or so teaching, but the rest in office hours to make up a 9 hour day, with one off for lunch. This is so one can't work elsewhere. He hads two weekdays off, and worked lots of nights, but didn't mind his employers.
I had to chase his tax papers after he went home; they were quite helpful and efficient. |
