Hi everyone,
Just quick thanks to everyone who answers my question and thanks for all the awesome help that has been given so far.
What is the best way to bring money over?
I've traveled with all cash before even though I know this is not the safest and smartest (hey we all do silly things!) way to go about this.
Should I break up the money into some cash, some traveler's cheques and some on my debit card? Or could I even have my family send some via Western Union? My concern is I want my money to come with me but I don't want it to be a super hassle when I'm trying to get it exchanged and start living life.
Thanks for any suggestions! |

| The easiest way is to use your ATM card to withdraw money here, but who knows if that's possible since you didn't bother giving any sort of information like what country you're coming from, like every other person who just registers and mashes the post button. In fact, there was a long thread about this that can't be further than page 5 or 6 by now. |

The latest thread on this topic, not that long but with almost the exact same title, was actually at the top of page 2! Here it is:

OP, forget Western Union, Japan is not good at things like that and getting your money is likely to be a complicated process. For the other options, see the link above. |
