|
|
I've just heard from a fairly reliable source that those UGRU teachers forcibly selected for transfer to HCT Fujeirah, now have the option of staying with UGRU by simply emailing the Dean indicating they are unhappy with the move and would like to stay. It seems that the administration has had a change of heart. It is also possible that someone somewhere has finally come to their senses and realised that there will be a significant shortage of teachers at UGRU next semester. Has anyone heard the same? |

Huh!? If this is true I guess the old adage of "the more some things change, the more they stay the same" would be quite fitting.
Sounds like a rumor, but who knows. Maybe when this proposal actually got to the federal cabinet and discussed they realized that it was/is going to be a nightmare to implement. There also may have been considerable opposition.
Could be the end of the venerable RH, our beloved and benevolent dictator..er..I mean provost!! |

I hope it's not just a "wishful thinking" rumor. But I wouldn't break out any champagne until we see some hint of this in writing... (and I don't mean just written on a thread here. )
We can only hope that it is true!! Even if they just lengthen the time of implementation over say 3-5 years so that it can be done properly.
