I know the name is strange (homage to Hitchcock?), but does anyone know anything about this school? Thanks. |

All I know is that they've sent me two e-mails so far, from a resume I still have up on a TEFL website. If they still need a bunch of teachers for September, it could mean they're a) exceptionally disorganized (which, considering the standard in China, is pretty impressive) b) exceptionally crappy (Chengdu has a ton of foreigners on the ground, so it is strange when their schools are really hard up for teachers), or c) exceptionally unlucky.
I would put money on A, if I had to choose.
Hopefully, someone else will respond who knows about the school itself. |

Went over there once to have a talk to them about part time work. Decided against when when the hourly rate did not pass muster.
The hoolitself is fairly nice, and in a nice part of Chengdu to live (close to restaurants, the nightlife around Sichuan university etc), and is done up quite well. I think they focus on individual tutoring.
Probably an ok place to work, but nothing special. I got the feeling they were looking for the cheapest white face they could find.
Many other places in Chengdu to work too. |
