Sorry for the inconvenience to everybody. I didnt think you guys were going to let me have it. After all this is a help forum. But in any case I was rushed up and thats why I didnt type of so good. I will spell check it now and for those of you who didnt have a stick up their ass. Thank you.

I have been doing some research about teaching English abroad for money and I have quite a few questions. I know most of the information but what I dont know really is where to start and if I am going to waste my time. My main objective is to have fun. Money is not my main goal but if there are offers from other places that I cant refuse then I cant refuse. *Chuckle* *Chuckle*

You can say my main goal is to have fun and travel. See some nice places and do a job that appears to be like fun all the while having new experiences. From what I know teaching doesnt seem that strenuous type of job.

My main concern besides those that I have mentioned is that I dont know where to start. What degree I should go after? I know there are several degrees out there and I dont know the best route from all the different letter degrees. Heck, I dont even know if teaching English is the best job I should go after. I dont want to do anything long term like over a year. I wouldnt mind getting a degree for a month to probably 6 or around that type frame. From those type of teaching English degrees which one is the best? And whats the cheapest way to get it? I know you can get some degrees online but I think most people are against those types of degrees.

I have also heard about doing this thing illegally but I dont think that is safe at all and could be a major problem over nothing. I mean if its really not a big deal I wouldnt mind doing skipping the degree but if it can get me in jail or people not wanting to pay me that its not worth the risk.

If I do decide to teach English does anyone know what are the best places to go? Based on income and expenses or culture and fun? Im mostly interested in teaching in Europe but if it doesnt make sense to start off there or the money is a lot better else where that I guess I can settle for that.

Thank you all for your time and answers.

Two year degrees are available in the UK - Buckingham University and BPP - but they are not cheap.
You want to know where you can make lots of money; as a newcomer to TEFL, the answer is nowhere.
If you do want to be taken seriously as a potential teacher, by the way, I would suggest that you punctuate your messages where possible (e.g. use apostrophes where appropriate).

I have read your post several times to be sure I understand what is written. It is hard not to take it as trolling, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt at this point. So, please take this in the spirit in which it is intended.

Do not go into teaching abroad. Find something else to take you overseas.

What Glenski said. In the same spirit. (Well, maybe not quite as kind.) Wink

I agree. If you thought that university was an unpleasant experience, then why would you want a job in education, even if only temporarily? Teachers are generally supposed to like the idea of learning. Surely there must be other ways for you to meet hot girls.

Sounds like English is your second language; am I correct?

Women in Russia are exquisite, elegant and extremely well-educated. I think Glenski may be right about travelling abroad, but definitely give Russia a miss. The local hot women aren't easily impressed these days.

Myth 1: Why does this myth persist that 'hot girls' are just going to fall over for some guy with very few quals who just happens to be a native English speaker?

It's simply not true.

Myth 2: unqualified and inexperienced 'teachers' can make tonnes of money ANYWHERE.

Shabby old fairytales.

The myths persist because shabby old EFL course providers and local language schools insidiously promote it. How else could you convince anyone but the most stupid to come over to Foreignland, work for peanuts, 12 hours a day, live in a leaky box beside the local toxic plant, all while being an illegal immigrant?

A touch harsh? Have a look at BKC-IH's own website. Count how many brothels are listed

I don't really think the OP is serious, now that I read it again. If he is, well....but I think he just wanted to see what responses he would get. I mean, look at it, he doesn't like going to school but wants to teach in a school, considered doing it illegally (BUT THAT MIGHT BE BAD!), looking for women.......
