I can't say anything about the school, but I can say plenty about Dong Shr.
It's a small town in the foothills of the mountains. The people there are not particularly friendly.
Life in Dong Shr is not convenient. There is little to nothing in Dong Shr. You will spend almost all your free time traveling to Taichung City.
There is indeed an 8km long bicycle path from Dong Shr down to Shr Gang. Unfortunately the bridge over the Da Jia River was destroyed by a typhoon a couple years back. The last I heard it had still not been rebuilt. The bridge is not far from town, so unless it has been rebuilt don't count on using the bike path.
There is indeed bus service to Fengyuan and Taichung. The bus is what is referred to as a skeleton rattler. It's old and clunky with no suspension or shocks to absorb the many bumps and pot holes in the road.
Just a couple weeks ago my chiropractor told me about another patient of his who was an English teacher in Dong Shr who hated it so much she was practically begging him for any leads on jobs in Taichung City.
I don't know anything about this school, but Dong Shr (Yes I've been there many times myself) gets a resounding thumbs down. |

I'd be more worried about the "Amazing Grace" part.
I have nothing against Christians, but whenever a school puts a Christian theme in its name, what that usually means is "the laoban claims to be a Christian to get more customers, and is a highly unethical person who will stop at nothing, even lying about his/her religion and risking eternal hellfire by doing so, to make a quick buck." |

I concur. The absolute worst people I have ever met in Taiwan are Taiwanese who profess their Christian faith. |
