Hi all,
Do women need to wear an abaya when they arrive through customs into the Kingdom? What should women wear when arriving for the first time?
Thanks

No.

Clothes. The more conservative, the better.
Thanks

There have been many threads on this, so you should go back and check them. My own advice would be to wear an abaya if you have one (but DO NOT go to great trouble or expense to get one). If you do not have one, wear very conservative clothing, preferably black. Black slacks and a very long, loose opaque black tunic will work just fine. If you can stand the heat, buy a long black trenchcoat (or trenchcoat of any dull color that does not attract attention) and wear that through customs. Bring a scarf and wear it around your neck, adjustable just in case anyone gets grumpy with your infidel-ness. |
