|
|
Hello,
I have a law degree and have just completed the CELTA course in the UK. Having lived in Oman for many years, I would love to get a teaching job in Muscat. I've been searching the job boards all over the internet and can't seem to find any vacancies in Oman for newly qualified teachers. Does anyone know of any specific openings or any colleges/institutes that would be willing to take on an inexperienced (but highly motivated) teacher? Alternatively, are there any job boards that employers use to advertise positions in the Middle East?
I'm new at this and any help would be much appreciated.

Normally three years experience is required.
However, a CELTA is a short course and a degree is a long commitment. I would suggest that you tailor your CV to promote your knowledge of legal terms and concepts, highlight and teaching/tutoring experience then email all the colleges.
The most successful member of my CELTA group was a lawyer who started his own business teaching ESP to students going to the UK to complete law degrees.
Play to your strengths - good luck. |
