Hi! I'm new to this forum and the world of ESL, so a big hello from me.

I was wondering how important your mark on the CELTA course is? I recently completed my CELTA, worked my socks off and got a Pass B which I was thrilled with.

How much of an advantage will this be when looking for work over the next few weeks?

Don't expect too much of an advantage. It may help a little in some countries with some employers. However, many employers in many parts of the world don't even know that there are different grades in a tefl certificate.

Still - it can't harm your chances.

Can't hurt. Every little bit helps.

But will it be a big advantage over having your same profile and a to standard "pass?" I wouldn't think so.

Best,
Justin

Good job on the Pass B!
I'm not sure it'll make much difference but, as Justin wrote, every little bit can help Cool

I just got a Pass B as well last spring. It actually makes me a little nervous, because it makes me wonder if they're going to have higher expectations when I still feel like a total beginner. Thank god I didn't get the Pass A! Laughing

I know exactly how you feel! Have you managed to find work easily?
