Does anyone have any insight into the Word School in Tarnobrzeg? They emailed me some information and it seems quite good -- perhaps too good. I've been searching, but I can't find any outside information on it. Thanks. |

If it's still owned by Artur Roman and the DOS is still Pawel (can't remember his last name, he was trained as a concert pianist) I can vouch for it. Even though I couldn't stand it. Well, I couldn't stand Poland (to each his own). Plus I got stuck teaching solely teens of middle school age. Not a good age group to teach in Poland.
They pay well and supply their teachers with furnished apartments. The school is very well organized, the owner and DOS are very supportive of the teachers and sincere in their goal of teaching students English. The classes are shared between native Polish teachers (who usually focus on grammar) and native English speaking teachers (who focus on speaking and listening).
There used to be at least one other person who taught there who used to post on this board and sing the praises of the school. Not sure if they still visit this forum. |
