|
|
Hello,
I am currently doing a summer contract in China that will be finishing in 3 weeks. Beyond that, I was initially looking to head to Europe, though would consider Saudi Arabia if I got a good contract lined up there. I would like to start applying for positions, but I need to find out if it is possible to get access to alternative health products there, like high quality vitamin supplements, digestive enzymes, and pro-biotics (being able to get Chinese herbal medicine would also be helpful). I know that I can get all these things in a lot of the major cities in Europe, but how about Riyahd? (and over the border in Doha, Qatar?). Does anyone know if there's a market for these things in Saudi (Qatari) cities like these?
Thanks. |

Chinese Herbal Medicine might be difficult. The other things are available in KSA in the three major cities. At a price, but over the counter. |

I know that there are some herbal products/ traditional medicine from India sold in Riyadh...Batha district/ Filipino market...at an obscure hole in the wall location...however may not be exactly what sort you're looking for
Best bet is to explore these markets and ask around...you never know! |

Thanks for the replies guys. Do you also happen to know if it's relatively easy to find a good variety of vegetables on the market? There's loads out here in China, but then they can grow a lot here - I don't have any sense of what kind of veg is available there.
Scot - when you say "at a price" are we talking more than say in Western countries? (as a yard stick, a month's supply of pro-biotics would usually run at about 20 - 25 British pounds). And What's KSA?! Sorry, I don't know my way around Saudi Arabia (yet!). |

Ah - thanks. I suppose I should have just googled KSA, though sometimes google can be a bit unreliable here in China. Is internet access limited at all in the KSA? |

Naughty sites are blocked. Ditto Zionist propaganda and information about Hell's Angels. |
