can anybody tell me a little bit about CERT? how is it similar to/ dissimilar from HCT?
what kind of courses are taught there?

CERT and HCT are one and the same altho they like to deny it. I would suggest that only someone with a user name as yerself to apply there...

They teach police, military and any other government group whose members COULDN'T get into "college". Optimism would drain very quickly as the military are unteachable and the cops are corrupt...

CERT is rather a spin off from HCT. NCTBA has pointed out who CERT teaches, while HCT is more "academic" offering diplomas and degrees in business and a few other things that you can look at on their website.

CERT is a 'cert' for avoiding, in my humble opinion. Not only are the students appalling (military inadequates, rejects from ADNOC, etc), but the Supervisor is an accomplished backstabber and bullshitter. She's more often (and deservedly) known as 'McTurd', a corruption of her real name.
Example? Both of the ADMC EFL teachers sacked for 'disciplinary' reasons last June were officially under her supervision, but she made no attempt to contact them (to offer commiserations, etc) after the Director had brought down the chopper - surely the mark of a truly inspiring boss!
Even worse, one of the CERT academic co-ordinators is known collectively as 'Melooney' (or 'Mad Mel'), for reasons you can easily gather. If she could teach even half as well as she can gossip and slander her colleagues, she might be a credit to the place. But she can't - and she ain't!
No, avoid CERT, please!! |
