Hello
I've done them both.
The DoS course is useful for anyone new (or soon moving into) a DoS/ADoS/SnrTchr position and needs to get some ideas on both the range of likely responsibilities and situations you'll find and a range of ideas for how to deal with them.
It is not a role you can be trained for, as each school is different, but the format of the course allows you to be a lot better prepared.
The TT course in a similar way will expose you to a lot of ideas form experienced trainers and your own peers to give you a much wider knowledge of and some practice in various techniques for training teachers - new ones, complete beginners, regular staff and experienced old-timers.
There are a lot of workshops and discussions and opportunities to exchange experience on both courses.
And the weather is hot and humid. |
