I am 66 years old and have a Master's Degree and many years of experience in KSA. I retired a few years ago, but lately I've been thinking about putting in another year or two. Is the upper age limit enforced by all employers? I'm thinking about IPA, for example. Thanks for your feedback |

Your question is a tricky one. Yes, usually it is enforced when getting in to KSA, but then again, if you have stellar credentials and extensive experience, they may allow it. However, getting your application/visa accepted by the Saudi Embassy may also be a factor? However, once you are in, some institutes will forego the upper age limit. Since you are already up there that would be a no brainer!
In my estimate, I think you may have missed the boat Again...no harm in trying, is there?

Yes, some places are flexible on the upper age limit, especially for existing employees, but to be perfectly honest, at 66 you would really be pushing the limits. Your chances would be particularly poor with the IPA who, as a government-funded institution, would be obliged to adhere strictly to government regulations. |

Yes. I was lucky to get a stellar military job, clearly better than BAE, and I squeezed in at 59 a year-and-a-half ago. A great pity that you lose out on some plums at 60+. My employer definitely will not consider anyone at 60 or above. We can pretty much stay as long as we like, but the 60 rule applies to hiring. |
