Hi,
I've been in Japan for about a year, and so am considering using a private health company. There are three that have come to my attention, and I'm wondering if anyone has had bad/good experiences with them.
1) X-Pat insurance: I talked to them yesterday. It's damn cheap (46000Y/year) and seems to cover most (non-dental) problems.
2) Global Health
3) InterGlobal Health
These last two I found by searching through the archives here. InterGlobal quotes me $677US/year.
Thanks in advance. |

After doing my own research I have dropped my Nova JMA policy for Global Health. It appears to be, if you get the gold plan, a much better policy and at almost the same price. Additionally it covers basic dental up to X amount of $$$ per year. Of course, as with all insurers here, you pay out of pocket for all out-patient services but they reimburse your credit card quickly. All in-patient care is paid for in advance. Shop around and see what best suits your needs. Good luck. |
