guys!..I just did the visa run and guess what! I had one extra day (miscounting my stay days because May has 31days)on my passport(91days as the cops said)and had to pay 386 TL right at Kapikule border..Im feeling so screwed! Not because I was fined!but because first of all I told them I hadnt done this on purpose and it was simply because I had miscounted my staying days but they still got me this money. And second of all I have heard lots of stories of people overstaying for as long as even 6 months still not charged just because they begged the cops at the border! Why me !And why only for 1 extra day? WHY!and why is it 386TL? Is there anyway to get my case rechecked by calling Emniyyet or etc.? Anybody has any info. concerning this? or anyone with the same experience?I keep the receipt just in case. and the other point is that they told me I had to pay this at a place called " VEZNE" ,guess just trying tp show that this money wont go to their pockets, while the receipt I received was just a peice of paper not even recorded on any kind of computer or sth.
I guess they could simply ignore my case but they didnt.
Paying that 386TL I only had some 20TL to get myself to Sabiha Gokchen Airport.U have no idea how I got myself there, telling my story to drivers everywhere, with my bad Turkish, trying to ask them to do me favor for a free ride!
Ah,right now after all this nightmare, and all the feeling of being screwed,I am thinking of going and asking Emniyyet about what happened to me.It might help me feel a bit better.
PS ;)the border cop was asking me to get him my info. to add me on facebook!

Don't blame yourself, it's normal to get fined for an overstay even this short. Most people don't get away with it. The guy on the border can be fined himself if he forgets to fine you.

Yeah, I also think it's better to just try to get over it. You were technically in the wrong, and it's true that the border guys can get in trouble for overlooking such 'details.'
