hi,
I'm going to be arriving in Japan on a working holiday visa in about 2 months time and I'm going to be doing a one year shoot for a documentary film on people who teach English in Japan. I'm going to be looking for a teaching job as soon as I arrive so that I can pay for the project. I'm still thinking over the form of the project and things are still pretty fluid in terms of the film's structure and topics. If you're interested in participating (being filmed or helping out with some shooting), you can reach me at [email protected] As this is a self-financed project, I'd be looking for people to volunteer in exchange for copy of the finished product and maybe some beer... My plan is to do the shooting and then look for some post-production funding. If there are any profits from the film, the project might be set up with deferred profits for people. Again, it would depend on how the film is structured. Many aspects of the project will be firmer by the time I reach Japan. I'm looking initially for people in Tokyo, but might broaden things out geographically, so email me from wherever you live. What sort of issues or topics might I look into? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Any connections in Tokyo that might help would also be great. Looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly.
