Overseas recruitment is now advertising to recruit teachers for this military hospital located in Dahran.
Should anybody foolishly consider a contract with KFMMC to teach medical English to Saudi nurses...you might consider reading a post on thi s forum back in February before signing on the dotted line.
That thread was sent by the last academic director who has since left the complexe.
I put a thread on with additional info which was pulled from this forum and I was never given a reason for this.
On my thread I:
explained in explicite detail some serious problems about how incompetently KFMMC was run(by military personnel often with no education qualifications),
about withholding passports and dealing with Human Resources(for example the long process in getting authorization for leave or a weekend in Bahrain),
about outdated and inadequate academic teaching materials,
about inadeqaute run down housing for staff,
about left out details in the contract such as, for example, Eid not being given to Christian staff and weekends counting as deduction from the so called 49 holidays per year,
and finally the most depressing working environment I have ever seen in my life!
Whoever may consider teaching there...I recommend to think twice! |

Dear NCTBA,
What? Do you want RUBALKHALI to the disreputable ranks of us pointless skeptics on here?

I, like most newbies here, feel that negative posts are nothing other than people trying to keep their jobs in this worlwide recession by scaring off those who KNOW that there's nothing but red carpets and caring recruiters awaiting them in saudi arabia.

At this very moment I am at a secret location near the Danube, burying boxes of gold bullion which were mz illgotten gain for this academic year. We must do everything we can to prevent newcomers cashing in on OUR petrodollars.

Negative? Look who's being negative? Realistic? Yes! Pragmatic? Yes! Cynical? Oh no! Something about all that desert heat!
Oh well, we are all children of the sun.... |

Dear poster:
Jes' read my post history and you'll discover jes' how far my tongue is lodged in my cheek. So much so, that I think that it's permanently lodged there...
