Callan (English Method) questions are usually pretty stupid, but I'm bored and thought you might have fun answering these. (Yes, I'm bored)

1. Which place in the world do you think is most like heaven and which place is most like hell?
2. What do you think is the most interesting job and why?
3. Who is the strangest person you know?
4. Where did you go for your holidays last year?
5. Who do you think was the greatest man who ever lived?
6. What ought one to do if one wanted to earn a lot of money?
7. Which subject interests you the most?
8. What do people do in the evenings besides watching television?
9. Tell me a historical fact
10. Give me a sentence with the word 'even' in it

Dear Phil_K,

"6. What ought one to do if one wanted to earn a lot of money?

Work smart, not hard. And learn good English; it's "What ought one do..."

I agree - proper grammar is important:

"In practice, most speakers tend to prefer should for negatives and questions because the ought to and oughtn't ... to forms can sound rather clumsy and awkward.

Ought you to be doing that?
They oughtn't to (ought not to) do that.
Oughtn't we to leave now?"

I wasn't aware of that. I looked it up, Pg 342 of the Callan books says: "What do you think one ought to do if one wanted to earn a lot of money?"
