I was sent a contract from a recruting agency / school called International Education Services (loacted in Taoyuan) . Some of the sections in the contract seemed a little suspicious (i.e keeping a portion of you salary each month, until you've worked for a total for 10 months). I know I should beware of recruiters...
What sort of reputation does this place have  |

live in taoyuan. never heard of 'em.
tell them that witholdings from pay is illegal. how they react to such will speak volumes of their business practices.
request that it be stricken from the contract.
if they say anything but "yes, certainly" walk away. |
