Do the public schools in Hong Kong only hire new native-speaking English teachers during August of each year? Or do they hire in the winter and/or spring as well?

This topic comes up frequently - worth your doing a search I imagine.
But basically, the majority of NETs on the govt's NET programme (I presume that's what you're referring to) are hired during the summer and begin their jobs in late August at the start of the school year. However, some NETs are hired during the year due to drop-outs, unexpected vacancies, etc. |

As the website says:
'Applicants applying for the above position for the school year 2011/2012 should complete application forms and send/fax the completed application forms to the following address not later than 28 February 2011. Applications received after this date will be considered for subsequent years. |
