I just received an offer from Interdialog.kz and Santis.mn I have seen a few bad things about Santis, but never anything specific. What about InterDialog? Has anyone any experience wite either school. They both want me there ASAP and Santis is a little dodgy on the Visa issue. Saying just aerive (after insisting I can tell the air lines that I have a visa waiting in Mongolia for me) and they will take care of the visa when I get there. Even if I have to leave, take a few days in China with a few other teachers and member of staff, and then return with the work visa in a few days. Also where is a good place to get info on what is and is not a good contract? The Santis one is straight forward, but the InterDialog one is a bit confusing. |

I can't speak on behalf of Interdialog.kz, but know others who have had experience with Santis.
While I was living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) a few years ago, Santis made contact with a number of instructors trying to recruit us to Mongolia. Bear in mind that KSA $$ is some of the best ESL money out there, but the money Santis offered was not even close to half of what we were earning. They made it sound as if their school was an elite, creame of the crop K-12 institution, not just ESL, and it very well may be. However, $700-800 USD/month is not creame of the crop salary. You can earn that kind of money in Thailand or China without lifting a finger. Again, this was a few years ago. It may have changed since then... |

If the job in KZ wants you there ASAP what type of visa are you coming on and what about the WP? My job wanted me here ASAP too but the visa and WP took 7 months.
Regarding the contract, there are members on here with a great deal of experience in those matters (not me), maybe post some details as others have did in the past and let the experts opine. As far as salary rates for expats in KZ I am pretty current with that info.
And in one of your earlier posts you mentioned wanting to get to Kazakhstan to teach, preferably Aktau. May I ask your motivation? More curious than anything.
Best of Luck

A woman.
Actually I have taken a job in Poland. They were wanting me to fly in on her invitation and work in Almaty, where she lives in Aktau 1300 miles away, not exactly what I wanted. While there they would "Work on the work visa issue."
I still plan on working in KZ, after this year is up, I'll spend the summer in Aktau hitting the schools there. If all works out, married to a KZ citizen, I get residency. |

ddraig64,
When I get enough posts to PM I will reach out to you. I am in Western KZ but not Aktau, however, in the future I may be able to give you a contact there.
The work visa and WP is quite a process. So is ZAGS for that matter if you have not been through that yet:-)
Take Care, |
