I'm here! I'll be back in Peru in Jan and Feb and July and August. here's how you can work legally.
1. Marry a Peruvian, I kid you not
2. Work at a school. Most primary and secondary schools will get visas. Those like FDR, Markham, San Sil, CPB, are more competitive, they do get visa, but it's hard to get a job. Other schools, like those in La Molina, Surco, Miraflores, and San Isidro, are usually good places to work and will get you a visa.
3. Work at a university outside of Lima. For example, UDEP in Piura will get you a visa. Not a resident visa, but a special volunteer.-diplomat visa, it's good for a year. Unis in Lima don't get visas. at least none of the ones I looked at did.
