Has anyone heard of or had experience with World Tesol College? They offer various online diplomas/certificates including one in teaching ESL for business, and then guaranteed placements in various countries - France, UAE, Italy, to name a few. (I already have ESL experience and a UK teaching qualification, so an online certification would be an added bonus - I'm aware many schools require practical experience over online courses)
However, I can find very little discussion about them online, which is odd considering they offer an attractive package; I did find one thread which suggested they are a scam - I contacted the author who warned me in no uncertain terms to stay well away. They look legit enough on the surface; but this has made me ask questions, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on them... |

Be aware that "placement" can mean many things, such as
giving you a list of employers
giving you a list of websites
finding you interviews
guaranteeing you a job
guaranteeing you a legal job |

To be fair to them, their actual wording is 'Guaranteed high-paid teaching job'. Whether it's legal or not, I don't know... although 'flexible legality' is a concept which I've become quite familiar with working in Korea... can be to one's advantage if you're careful with it |

'Guaranteed high-paid teaching job'
France and Italy aren't in the category of 'high-paid,' nor is the UAE at a level below related MA + experience. It's a scam. |
