Hi everyone,
I'm up for an TEFL job at a place called Euroschools in Vigo. Has anyone (perhaps somebody who has worked in Galicia) heard of this school and know anything about it?
Cheers |

Hi,
Don't known much about them apart from the fact that they are really picky about who they choose. High standards. Well done that you have an interview. A friend of a friend worked there and seemed to like it.
Vigo is a lovely place and we go there often from north of Portugal since it is near.Still plan to move to Galicia , much nicer than Portugal. Great beach bars in the summer.
Sorry, info is not much help. |

The wages are dire, even by Galician standards! |

I'm after some information on this school if anyone's got any. I've got an email saying I've been shortlisted for a teaching post (not shortlisted for interview, which is odd) and the whole thing just looks a bit strange to me. I've been sent a bunch of documents because "time is short" but not a lot of information about the teaching - the hours, the opportunities for professional development, etc. Some of the documents are rather out of date (although they've been "updated") and mention audio cassettes and videos. I'd really like to hear from anyone who has any experience working at this school because at the moment I can't work out if it's dodgy or just strangely run!
Thanks! |

The place is run by a rather pompous Brit who likes lounging around in a blazer. Given the relatively low wages offered by this bunch, I'd guess they are looking for mugs straight off the Celta course, or the quite inexperienced.
Best avoided, I'd say. |

Hi
I got the same email saying I had been shortlisted and that the DOS would contact me soon for an interview. That was two months ago and I still haven't heard back from him. Therefore, based on my own personal experience, I would probably recommend avoiding this school |
