I'm just curious if anyone else has dealt with them. I've seen them post about jobs in Mexico quite a few times. I remember writing to them a couple of months ago, sending them my resume and asking for info on jobs in Mexico and never got a response back. So I'm just asking if any of you have dealt with them and what were your experiences.
As for me, I just moved to Mexico City. I just flew in two weeks ago. Right now, I'm currently finishing the training at Berlitz. The training isn't too bad, I did the training when I got hired for the Berlitz in Costa Rica last year. I came to DF on vacation for two weeks last July and just fell in love with the city. So I saved up some money to establish myself and here I am. I should probably have my first classes with Berlitz next week. However, the one thing that is turning me off to Berlitz is they do not give two-weeks off for Christmas/New Years. I really wanted to go back home and visit my family and friends as I don't know anyone here to spend the holidays with. Berlitz only gives the 25th and the 1st off, apparently. So I've been putting out feelers to possibly get hired at a school somewhere where they give those days off. That's what led me to Global ERS because they seem to recruit mostly for public and private schools. So yeah, any of you ever dealt with them?
Thanks, Jose. |

If you do a search you will find a couple of threads with info on Global ERS. I dealt with them some years ago and did go on a couple of interviews they set up. I didnt end up taking either of the jobs, but they were both decent jobs, with better than average pay. They dont charge a fee, so you have nothing to loose. |

I just got a job through Global ERS in Puebla and so far I'm really happy. It has only been a week, but everything at the school is what they promised. Also the woman I was in touch with there from the beginning, Monica, was very helpful even with non-school related questions. |

Yeah, I wrote to her last night and she responded to me this afternoon. I'm filling out the application right now.
How long did it take for you to be placed somewhere? and Also, did you have any previous experience teaching children? I'm just curious about that last part because I don't have any experience with children. I've mostly taught adults and business men, and a couple of 16-17 year olds when I was working for Berlitz in Costa Rica. |

It probably took about 2 weeks from the time I sent my resume in for me to get placed, but I think it would have been sooner if I had returned the questionnaire sooner. I don't really have experience teaching children English. I have more experience teaching adults and being sort of a nanny to children.
I think everything really depends on the school much more than Global ERS though. |

cool thanks. I just filled out the Resume and am working on the questionnaire now.
How much are you earning at the school you're at now? If you don't mind me asking. Also what are your hours? and what was the hiring procedure for the school? I'm just curious. I haven't really posted on the Mexico forum in a while and I've never worked with an actual school. |
