MOD EDIT I won't explain my situation, but basically I need to leave before I possibly get deported. I'm making the move to Taiwan to begin teaching there. Since I'm not in America right now I can't apply for the 60 day extendable visa there, so I'm thinking I'll fly directly from Seoul to Hong Kong and apply for the 60-day visa there instead. How long does the visa processing take? I'm kind of working with limited funding right now, and I need to know how many days I'll have to budget for staying in HK.

MOD EDIT
I got a 60 day extendable visa in Seoul in Feb of this year. I am not an American but I guess Americans would also be able to. It took just 3 or 4 days.

The job market is tight here but if you have a good CV and give a nice demo you should be able to find something and with a little luck you will get a full time gig. If you want options China has a lot to offer.

Two members are now ex-members for violating board policy. If you don't like the way things are done here, please go elsewhere before the decision is made for you.

One of the things we do our way here is not to permit any comments regarding Mod actions or decisions:

If you then choose to do your thing and comment regardless, then you may assume that we will do our thing and you will be gone.

No doubt about it.

Every time I got a 60 day visa for Taiwan it was a two-day affair. Drop off the application form the 1st day and it was always ready to be picked up the next day.

I don't know if you have options, but I would try and go to Thailand to get your visa. The staff at the Hong Kong office were not very friendly or helpful.

Good luck!
