How does one get a resident permit?? How much does it cost, where do İ need to go, and how long can I get one for??? I have got one month left on my visa, so I really need to get this done fast...

You need to go to a place called Yabancı Ş�besi in Aksaray (Fatih). It's on the rail line that goes to the airport. You need a few different documents, but the most important is an official paper from your Turkish bank showing that you have 300 USD for each month you're applying for (usually 1 year). If you don't have a Turkish bank account yet, you've got a few other annoying steps ahead of you (getting a tax number and opening an account). You have to pay something like 700 Lira for a year permit (varies according to nationality). You can find more information on the post below:
